Programme Manager sought by hugely vibrant and ever-expanding Brighton based software house. This role would suit an experienced senior Project Manager looking for their next step. We are looking for someone to look at how their programme runs, where resources are placed and any process changes to improve efficiencies.

Within this role you will plan and coordinate the delivery of all projects across the Operations Space, monitor their progress and ensure time, cost and quality constraints are managed and communicated effectively. You will support and oversee all project-level resources and activities to ensure overall strategic Operations Goals are consistently met. 


Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the Service Operations Team and be responsible for the Team’s resource allocation budget 
  • Schedule on-contract work to completion using and enforcing an Agile approach
  • Identify cross-project dependencies and report their implications to the SOT alongside any project constraints and risks for further escalation
  • Undertake accurate financial milestone and budgetary reporting, meeting regularly with the Finance Department
  • Review and estimate capacity/allocation across the programme for accurate planning forecasts and resource decisions
  • Line management of any Project Management Team subordinates as required including performance appraisals and recruitment, working with the HR Manager to ensure high levels of employee performance and engagement are maintained
  • Hands-on participation in day-to-day SCRUMS and planning/review meetings where required
  • Working closely within cross-functional teams to delivering quality software to deadlines.
  • Hosting daily SCRUM with in-house Developers, Analysts, Testers and Capability Managers.

Key Requirements:

  • Significant experience as a Programme Manager or Senior Project Manager
  • Excellent ability to plan, control and monitor complex programmes, and manage resource across teams
  • Strong commercial awareness and experience of working in a software development environment
  • Excellent knowledge of the full project lifecycle and various methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall
  • Excellent people management skills and experience leading a small team
  • Proven ability to build and maintain excellent working relationships with all colleagues, employing skilful influencing and negotiation skills when necessary
