Support & QA Analyst required by buoyant Insurance organisation with offices in Bedford. In this role you will be responsible for delivering an excellent service to all users of their enterprise applications. This role is a diverse one, dealing with queries from 1st line support through to detailed system testing. As a support and test analyst you provide an essential role to the business and are often the face of the EA team.

You will also be responsible for delivering EA system testing functions, working with solution developers to ensure all changes to systems and processes are appropriately tested and authorised prior to the user acceptance processes and live system releases.

Key responsibilities:

  • Supporting enterprise applications including analysis of complex support issues
  • Delivery of system testing including test scripting and system test execution
  • Coordinating resolution of major system issues


  • Delivery of 1st, 2nd and 3rd line support services to business users
  • Liaising with 3rd party support companies and individuals (onshore and offshore) to resolve system issues and deliveries.
  • Escalating issues when in danger of failing agreed service levels and Business expectations
  • Examine complex problems, working with IT resources to determine root-cause application issues, identify the severity/impact, and propose fixes.


  • Liaise with Business users, analysts and system developers to determine testing strategy
  • Involvement in test planning sessions, assessing impact and risks of new functionality/changes
  • Creating appropriate test plans and scripts
  • Execution and reporting of system testing
  • Ensure systems behave correctly after live releases

Key Requirements:

  • Commercial experience in testing web applications, websites and client/server applications. (specifically SharePoint, Salesforce and Imageright)
  • Ability to effectively analyse and resolve complex system problems.
  • Good general understanding of Insurance platforms and products.
  • Experience of working in a rapidly changing IT environment.
  • Working knowledge of HR, Finance, Compliance and Broking Applications (Specifically Sage, Caseware, Workday & Xactium)
