SQL SERVER DBA - London
SQL Server DBA required by international, highly respected organisation.
You will monitor, maintain, and performance tune production SQL Server databases as well as develop, implement, and oversee database policies and procedures
Responsibilities include:
Work with application development staff
Install and configure relevant network components
Respond to and resolve database access and performance issues
Monitor database system details within the database, including stored procedures and execution time
Implement efficiency improvements
Design and implement redundant systems, policies, and procedures for disaster recovery and data archiving;
Ensure that storage, archiving, backup and recovery procedures are functioning correctly
Experience/Qualifications Required:
3+ years as a database administrator in a Microsoft SQL environment;
minimum of 5 years IT experience.
Excellent understanding of T-SQL, stored procedures and triggers
Ideally you will be MCITP accredited, or willing to work towards
(SQL Server 2005/2008, DBA, Microsoft)
