Senior IT Consultant / Senior Infrastructure Engineer – London , City: £60k
Senior IT Consultant / Senior Infrastructure Engineer – London ,required by well established and impressive IT consultancy.
A senior engineer is required to design, build, and install solutions for a broad and impressive client base.
The winner of this position will assume a very senior role within the technical team.
Essential Core Product/Systems Experience (install, configure, support, solution design)
MS Windows Server, including clustering
MS Server products, i.e. Exchange, SQL
Citrix
Cisco (LAN, WAN)
HP (Servers, Networking)
Firewall / security products (mid/high range)
Storage Area Networking (HP products in particular, NetApp / VMware product knowledge desirable)
General Skills/Attributes
- Ability to deliver technical designs based on the above products, supplying documentation to support the design / solution
- Hands-on ability to install a solution and complete the project
- Develop written proposals and explain concepts and technical solutions to customers (not always IT experts)
Person Profile
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously (medium to large companies)
- Good interpersonal skills – some pre-sales work is an integral part of the job
- 5 - 10 years hands-on experience in most/all of the products above, with 3+ years solution design experience (this must be evidenced on the person’s CV)
- Relevant vendor qualifications preferred.
