Application Support Manager is required by leading financial services company.  Historically this role would have operated from their central London HQ however courtesy of pandemics they have changed their policy permanently and this role is now to be home based permanently.  This role has been created as a result of sustained growth via acquisition.

We are essentially looking for an experienced IT Application Support Manager to join a booming entity.  The scope for progress is very significant to boot as there is a clearly defined path to follow…

Experience required listed below……

Required Skills / Experience:

  • Relevant professional accreditation / bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years application management or equivalent
  • Proven ability to collaborate with multiple technology providers to maintain availability, security, integrity and performance of applications as required by Benchmark and the wider Schroders Group
  • Proven experience in change including technology transformation, integration, service transition, infrastructure and hosting
  • Proven experience of managing multiple integrated applications throughout their lifecycle in a cloud-first (Microsoft Azure) environment
  • Excellent understanding of IT infrastructure, networks, operating systems and have a technical background
  • Proven experience in application and technical support, incident management, performance monitoring and MI reporting
  • Good knowledge of ITIL methodologies (ITIL qualification would be an advantage)
  • Good knowledge of Safe Agile and Agile change methodologies
  • Proven analytical and creative problem-solving capabilities
  • Accurate with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work as part of a team and autonomously
  • Confident user of Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel

Desirable Skills / Experience:

  • Experience in the UK Financial Services industry or other regulated environment is highly advantageous
  • Experience working on pension specific technology applications
  • Experience working with payment system applications
  • Enterprise application management
  • Business process mapping
  • Outstanding numeracy and literacy skills
