Staff Engineer

The Role:

Senior Engineer/Staff Engineer required by well-known digital marketplace.

Our client is currently in the process of building out a brand-new digital product and need a highly technical Software specialist to help bring this to life. You’ll work collaboratively with Engineering leadership and other stakeholders to deliver on key strategic projects. You will also focus on key strategic projects to provide clarity during planning and estimation; ensuring resolution of bugs and tech debt, managing risk proactively whilst coaching the wider tech team.

Key Requirements:

• You’ll have hands-on experience in software system design, architecture, development, testing and monitoring covering both backend and frontend.
• You’ll have expert level of development experience in at least one modern programming language. You’ll also be skilled in agnostically choosing the language that suits a project.
• You’ll be up to date with modern software engineering practices relating to design, development, testing and maintenance. You’ll also be experienced in professional software development practices and tools, including GitHub and Jira.
• You’ll be an accomplished technical senior with experience working closely with Product Managers to deliver high quality products.
• Google Cloud experience, or equivalent.
