Full stack Drupal developer is required by London based financial services organisation to join the Digital team and lead the implementation and development of a new CMS for brands across the Group, as well as other web-based solutions and projects that arise.

This role is ideal for someone looking to join a strong entrepreneurial culture and take ownership of building the development function within the Digital team. This is an ideal position for a mid-weight developer who is looking for a step up and with a view to growing a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver a variety of digital projects working with internal teams from concept to launch. These projects can range from full website build, design tweaks or innovative product concepts
  • Work with third party agencies to implement a Drupal CMS using Site Factory
  • Post implementation, own the technical delivery of components/modular assets, ensuring robust, scalable solutions, and moving the backlog seamlessly from project to BAU
  • Collaborate with internal teams and clients to help translate business requirements into scalable and performant solutions
  • Work with and effectively manage external design and development agencies to enhance product development
  • Develop high quality code, with an eye on re-use, performance and deploy-ability, and ensure that other developers are adhering to both solution designs and coding standards
  • Ensure the continuous improvement of development process, practices, tools and techniques
  • Implement a best practice authoring experience



Key Requirements:

  • Good all-round web development experience, including awareness of best practices and standards such as accessibility, usability, SEO and other web standards, and with an understanding of how to optimize solutions to gain performance and stability
  • Experience of working in agile teams and working in an agile manner
  • Good awareness of DevOps – including Configuration Management, Environment Management, Release Management and Automation
  • Several years’ experience with Drupal, in particular in delivering innovative solutions for international businesses with multi-language sites and shared content (create once, publish everywhere)
  • Recent experience delivering sites in Drupal 8
  • CSS3, HTML5, JavaScript / jQuery, MYSQL, PHP (5.6+)
  • Experience operating at all parts of the stack, from infrastructure to the front-end
  • Ability to understand, define and communicate detailed system interactions to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to plan and prioritise workload
  • Ability and appetite to mentor and work closely with other team members
  • Excellent problem solver
  • Experience in domain management and configuration
  • Acquia Drupal experience highly desirable
