Infrastructure Delivery Product Manager

London/Reigate/Remote, £Highly competitive plus 40% bonus plus benefits

Infrastructure Delivery Product Manager is required by agile, highly buoyant and socially aware financial services organisation with offices in both London and Reigate. This role will see you working as a key member of the value stream leadership team and the authority on how best to maximise value from portfolio backlog items. It will be your goal to help senior management, stakeholders and team members understand the vision and evolution of the Value Stream as a whole. The value stream areas include their telecoms platform, data centres, data services and moving to a pure cloud-based environment.


Key Responsibilities:

Value Stream Management:

  • Regularly reviewing the structure of the Value Stream to ensure it is best placed to efficiently deliver business change and meeting the day to day needs of the business
  • Ensuring the Value Stream delivers prioritised change efficiently  in line with agreed strategic parameters
  • Developing teams and team members to ensure continuous development, avoid key man dependencies and improve morale
  • Facilitation of idea generation to ensure ideas for improvement are surfaced and prioritised effectively regardless of their source. Value Stream backlog prioritisation


Responsibility for the prioritisation of the Value Streams Backlog:

  • Coordinating with the Product Owners to ensure that Features are compared and prioritised against each other including Small Change / BAU / support / continuous improvement
  • Constructively challenging Product Owners on the scope of their features and stories
  • Ensuring that all development meets the agreed standards of the business and does not create longer term issues (e.g. with technical debt)
  • Represent Value Stream customer needs by iteratively validating proposed and delivered solutions
  • Budgets, financial constraints and goals
  • Developing and communicating the Value Stream’s vision. You will continuously develop and communicate the quarterly and longer term vision to value stream teams and works with Product Owners
  • Establishing, managing and optimising the flow of work through a Value Stream
  • Leading Value Stream Quarterly planning, reviews and retrospectives
  • Present the vision, which highlights the proposed features/enablers, along with any relevant upcoming Milestones.


Key Requirements:

  • An infrastructure delivery background (ideally from a managed services / consultancy environment)
  • Extensive experience of leading strategic change
  • Potential background as a Delivery Product Executive / Account Executive or Account Director
  • Staff development and coaching experience
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in theories and applications of product delivery and user-centric design practices
  • Advanced stakeholder management, negotiation and conflict management skills
  • Exceptional relationship management skills
  • Proven leadership in a matrix management organisation
  • Strong awareness of the control environment within a financial services organisation
