Technical Lead – telephony, video conferencing

The Role:
Technical Lead focused on designing and delivering telephony, video conferencing digital solutions and printing compliance is required by a prestigious brand with head offices in central London. This role will see you fulfilling a combination of project work and level 3 resolution in conjunction with the service desk team.
Key Responsibilities
- Primary technical lead for Video Conferencing, Telephony, MDM and Office365 related administrative portal to provide proactive management and support.
- Responsible for the best practices on all collaboration and digital tools to comply with industry standard frameworks and policies.
- Responsible for SIP configured video Conferencing units configuration and administration to meet operational and security standards.
- Ensure IT systems are fully documented to audit changes and updates and to support business change and operations.
- Plan, organize, and manage technical support for relevant technologies
- Take accountability and resolves any issues preventing the achievement of timely, quality, and cost-effective results.
- Takes strategic risks toward achieving operational excellence.
- Maintains high standards of excellence and strong work ethics
- Ensures appropriate systems, policies, budgets, controls, and procedures are in place to support sound, legal practices in support of the strategic direction of the business.
- Develop policies and procedures for the effective, efficient, legal, and safe use of IT assets
- Manage suppliers to ensure they are delivering quality services in line with agreed SLAs and extract maximum value from these relationships.
- Provide technical expertise in resolving problems and implementing changes to the IT infrastructure (this may result in occasional work out-of-hours or at weekends).
- Update Service Desk records, accordingly, and help identify trends and issues which require special action.
- Provide specialist support to company Partners and Directors to assist in problem resolution.
- Manage projects as required to install new IT equipment and software at sites, using appropriate internal and external resources, and effective and efficient tools and techniques, and maintaining up-to-date documentation describing the IT infrastructure at all locations.
- Manage suppliers to ensure they are delivering quality services in line with agreed SLAs and extract maximum value from these relationships.
- Ensure license compliance and usage is maintained including the annual Microsoft audit.
- Provide monthly/quarterly reports as required to include, but not exhaustive to infrastructure usage, growth, capacity planning.
- Work with change control and aid with testing approved changes.
Key Skills and Knowledge:
- VOIP Solutions (physical and virtual) such as NEC PBX, Vodafone, and Avaya virtual PBX
- Familiarity with NEC Univerge SV8000 series Physical PBX
- Familiarity with different types of video conferences, such as webinars, online meetings, and virtual event
- Vodafone Virtual PBX management and administration
- Avaya IP Office Web Manager management and administration
- Extensive knowledge of software-based video conferencing tool such as Microsoft teams, or Bluejeans.
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Teams Voice Engineer Expert.
- Extensive knowledge of Polycom SVC-Based conferencing units including hardware and software advanced configuration
- Proven experience of SIP management for video conferencing devices
- Extensive experience and high-level responsibility for security and data protection within a multi-site network
- Experience of PolyLens management portal
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including verbal, written, negotiation, and platform communications.
