Pricing Manager, Insurance

The Role:

Pricing Manager is sought by prestigious Insurance group who operate in the London Market. This role will support the Head of Pricing in the implementation of their Pricing Maturity Matrix and shape and embed their approach to pricing oversight to improve pricing practices.

• Contribute to shaping, embedding and aligning their approach to pricing oversight including implementation of Pricing Maturity Matrix.
• Deliver the Pricing Maturity Matrix assessments to agreed timescales, influencing improvements in pricing capabilities towards best practice.
• Work with Performance Management to design data driven methodologies to assess pricing and portfolio management capabilities, analysing historical data on benchmark achievement ratio and profitability and incorporating into forward looking analyses.
• Deliver all pricing aspects of transition from minimum standards to a principle-based approach to oversight
• Keep up to date with market developments in pricing tools and methodologies and proactively share best practice on pricing methodologies, systems, and price monitoring approaches both internally and externally

Key Requirements:

Key Requirements:

• Experience in non-life actuarial pricing across a range of classes in (re)insurance in the London Market essential.
• Business planning, monitoring of pricing and portfolio performance, including providing analysis and feedback to underwriters and senior management.
• Experience in analysis, storytelling with data, statistical modelling, and data visualisation techniques.
• Experience in reserving and capital an advantage.
• Advanced knowledge, understanding and expertise in actuarial pricing techniques across a range of classes in (re)insurance.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of statistical techniques used for risk modelling and pricing.
