The Role:

Data Governance Lead, Insurance
London/Hybrid
to £100k + bonus + benefits

Data Governance Lead required by Global Insurance organisation with offices in the heart of the City of London. Leading the Data Governance team, you will be develop and implement data governance strategies and frameworks across the group.

This is a newly created role, and you will be the driving force behind embedding best data governance practices across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and roll out the data governance strategy across the business, ensuring it aligns with the goals and the objectives of the organisation
• Build and lead a talented team of data governance experts
• Oversee the implementation and adherence to data governance best practices across all systems and processes
• Develop and maintain a data catalogue
• Work with IT teams to implement data governance tools and technologies
• Provide guidance to the business in data-related projects

Key Requirements:

• Extensive Data Governance and Data Management experience within insurance
• Strong understanding of data governance principles
• Familiarity with data governance frameworks and standards
• Previous team leadership experience is preferable
• Proficiency in data governance tools and technologies, including data quality tools, metadata management systems, and data access controls

• Azure Data & Analytics Platform
• MDM Solutions (Informatica, Semarchy, IBM)
• Meta Data Management Solutions (Colibra, Alex Solutions)
• Data Quality Solutions (Informatica, IBM, SAS)
• Business Intelligence Applications (PowerBI, QLIK Sense, Tableau) from a leadership perspective
• SQL and SQL server reporting services (SSRS) from a leadership perspective
• Data Science & Machine-Learning Platforms (Databricks, DataIQ, SAS, Alteryx) from a leadership perspective
