PHP Developer

Hove

Circa £55k

PHP Developer sought by vibrant software house based in Brighton. You will become a vital member of a team playing a crucial role in providing application support to core business systems. The work will focus on addressing service incidents and system change requests.

Key Responsibilities:

Write “clean”, well-designed code
Work to specifications
Troubleshoot, test and maintain the core product software and databases to ensure strong optimization and functionality
Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle
Follow industry best practices
Develop and deploy new features to facilitate related procedures and tools where necessary
Work on own initiative to communicate best practice advice to senior team members

Key Requirements:

Proven software development experience in PHP (5.6->8.1) – minimum 2 years
Demonstrable knowledge of web technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX etc
Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases, version control tools and of developing web services
Ability to project manage.
Demonstration of effective problem-solving
Experience with GitHub

Desirable:

Golang
Docker
Knowledge of Cloud technologies (GCP)
