People Technology Analyst

£55,000 to £62,000 plus bonus and benefits
A leading global financial services firm is rebuilding how its HR technology works, and needs analysts who want to be hands-on in the middle of it.
The platform is Workday today, but this isn’t a Workday-only job. The firm is putting an AI layer over the top of its HR systems, which means the platform team now owns the integrations, the data contracts and the interfaces that let agents read from and write to the system of record safely. Config is the starting point, not the whole role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Hands-on configuration: business processes, calculated fields, condition rules, security roles, custom reports, tenant admin and the bi-annual release cycle
- Building and maintaining integrations using EIBs, Studio, REST and SOAP APIs and middleware, then monitoring them and fixing them when they break
- Keeping the agent-facing APIs and data contracts working, so AI agents interact with the platform through governed, secure interfaces rather than around them
- Administering the security model: role-based security groups, domain policies, access reviews and audit evidence
- Balancing BAU support with project delivery, and rotating across focus areas over time rather than staying in one lane
Key Requirements:
- Around 2 to 3 years configuring a major enterprise platform. Workday, ServiceNow, SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM, Dayforce or comparable. What matters is that you’ve built things in it, not that you’ve used it
- Someone who can explain how they got to a decision, not only what the result was. Expect to be asked what your options were, what you ruled out, and why you went the way you did
- Evidence of adapting: a project that changed direction, an approach that didn’t work first time, a call you reversed
- Comfortable with ambiguity and happy to roll your sleeves up. This client has plenty of people who resist change already; they don’t want more of them
- A genuine team player. Sprint teams, shared ownership and mutual cover, not solo work
- Hands-on exposure to AI, agents or automation, at work or in your own time, counts for a lot. What you’ve actually built matters more than what you’ve read about
- Workday specifically is a nice-to-have rather than a requirement, and we’re just as interested in people from other sectors who’ve done this work elsewhere
