The Role:
IT Infrastructure Project Manager
Location : London – City (Hybrid Working)
A leading global financial services organisation is seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Project Manager to join its Group IT division on a permanent basis.
This is a high-visibility role within a complex, international environment where technology underpins critical business operations across multiple jurisdictions.
The Opportunity
You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of IT Infrastructure projects end-to-end, ensuring successful delivery from initiation through to acceptance into service.
This role requires a hands-on, delivery-focused Project Manager who is comfortable operating at both governance and technical detail level, working across global teams and third-party partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and deliver multiple concurrent IT Infrastructure projects
- Lead full project lifecycle delivery (initiation, planning, execution, governance and closure)
- Define and document requirements in collaboration with stakeholders
- Build and manage detailed project schedules with clear critical paths
- Manage RAID logs and provide structured reporting on time, cost, scope and quality
- Engage senior global stakeholders and IT Leads to agree remediation scope and plans
- Coordinate internal teams and third-party infrastructure partners
- Ensure robust acceptance into service and smooth BAU handover
- Navigate ambiguity and bring structure to complex technical environments
- Contribute to the ongoing maturity and governance standards of the IT Project Management function
Key Requirements:
- 7–10+ years’ hands-on IT Infrastructure Project Management experience
- Proven track record of owning and delivering a portfolio of infrastructure projects concurrently
- Experience delivering high valued projects
- Strong exposure to one or more infrastructure domains (Cloud, Networks, Security, Hosting, EUC)
- Experience managing global rollouts and multi-regional stakeholders
- Demonstrable vendor and outsourced partner management experience
- Strong experience working within structured governance frameworks in regulated environments (Financial Services preferred)
- Ability to produce robust project schedules with traceable critical paths
- Comfortable navigating both Waterfall and Agile methodologies
- Professional certifications such as PMP, Agile or Scrum are desirable.
