The Role:

MGA Operations Manager – Insurance
Location: London (Hybrid, 2 days in office)
Contract: Fixed Term Contract (12 months)
Salary: Circa £90,000 + DOE

A specialist underwriting MGA is seeking an experienced MGA Operations Manager to take ownership of all operational aspects of the business on a Fixed Term Contract basis. This is an urgent requirement with an immediate start preferred.

This is a hands-on operations leadership role covering binders, governance, claims, bordereaux, finance, and underwriting support functions across a specialist MGA book. You will have genuine scope to shape and improve how the operation runs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Binder management: audits, adherence to terms, performance reporting, profit commission, renewals and mid-term adjustments, binder broker liaison
• Governance: product oversight, sanctions checking, internal audit (incl. 2nd line assurance), tax, peer review, underwriting authority level management
• Claims: loss funds, payments, fee payments and recoveries, SLA monitoring
• Bordereaux: production accuracy, disbursement and recuperation of funds, reconciliation of cumulative bordereaux
• Finance: aged debt, unallocated cash and query management
• Underwriting support: data entry accuracy, exception reporting, control monitoring (policy issuance, contract certainty), profit commission review, chairing team meetings
• Technology: managing 3rd party supplier relationships, system testing and validation, change management

Key Requirements:

• Proven MGA, coverholder, or delegated authority operations experience (specialty/niche lines background welcome)
• Strong understanding of bordereaux, binder management, and insurance governance/compliance
• Comfortable managing multiple concurrent processes and stakeholders
• Self-starter mentality, able to work autonomously as the role evolves
• Available immediately or on short notice

Package

• £90,000+ base salary, dependent on experience
• Immediate start required
