IT Project Manager

The Role:

Infrastructure/Software implementations – Insurance/Reinsurance

IT Project Manager required to join a very successful, Reinsurance business based in the City. You will be overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of all IT projects across the company, including infrastructure and software development. This role will involve collating all existing and proposed IT projects, triaging and prioritising them, managing the delivery through their full life cycle with communication at a Group or local level, depending on the project.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage projects in accordance with our client’s project governance processes.
• Produce and maintain all relevant project documentation to appropriate quality standards.
• Establish and run effective and appropriate project steering meetings and cross workstream meetings.
• Manage and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
• Communicate project status to all relevant parties in accordance with established project governance.
• Provide project KPI and PIs data.
• Identify and manage risks and issues effectively to mitigate impact to project success.
• Identify and promote opportunities for process improvements with central Project Governance.
• Ensure projects’ compliance within the company requirements, the PRA, the FCA and external auditors as required, requested and or mandate

Key Requirements:

We are looking for someone who has experience in managing multiple projects of different sizes with multiple workstreams. You’ll be a great communicator, experienced in working with Senior Management teams with excellent organisational skills.

Required:

• Knowledge of project management framework and governance procedures including agile methodologies
• An understanding and experience in working within Insurance or Reinsurance would be ideal!
• Prince2 qualified or similar
• Knowledge of merger and acquisitions (M&A) would be great
